Sharp excrescence

An irritant, an annoyance. That's what thorns are. But who would have thought they can be photogenic too. Simple in appearance yet so characteristic. I think that they look a lot cooler in gray scale. Clicked not too far away from my house on a dry patch of land. The sharpness was right. They just sat there doing their job tirelessly ready to harm anyone who would try and harm them.
