Harvard Bridge in Cambridge, MA

This picture was clicked under the Harvard Bridge in Cambridge, MA. I had been wanting to shoot something like this for a while and finally decided to do it on Saturday. I decided to go alone - If you're out clicking photos its best to go alone anyways so you can take your time and decide to go wherever you want. I set off in the afternoon from Lowell because I wanted to shoot it at sunset. Once I reached there I realized it was chilly. Little did I know it was -7 degrees celcius! After asking around where the bridge was I set off toward Newbury street. Once I reached the spot, I began looking for some stable place to keep the camera on as I needed to do some long exposures. I found it almost hard to hold my camera in my hand, the wind was really chilly. I saw a bench under the bridge and went down there. There were runners still doing their rounds. I said to myself I shouldn't be worrying about a little cold if these guys are doing their rounds inspite of the harsh weather. Then I found the perfect spot exactly below the bridge. I placed a the camera on a stone pavement of the bridge and clicked this. The arc you see above is the bridge itself. I think it turned out pretty neat. I love how my new Tamron 28-75 resolves detail inspite of being in the non-pro price category. I got a couple more long exposures from different angles before heading back to North station. This one is my favorite though.
